Who we are

The information we collect and why
When you book a call or contact us
When you use our booking page or email us, we collect your name, business email, phone number (if given) and the details you share about your business and the problem you want help with. We use this to respond to you, prepare for and hold the call, and, if we go on to work together, to provide our services. Legal bases: to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform our contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Business contact information and B2B outreach
We may collect and process limited business contact information for targeted business-to-business outreach: name, professional role, employer, business email address, the source through which we identified you, and notes on professional relevance. We may collect this from publicly available professional sources, professional networks, company websites, event pages, referrals, and reputable B2B data providers. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in relevant B2B marketing, and only where we believe the contact is relevant in a professional capacity. We use limited data, contact you at a business address, and give a clear way to opt out. You can object or opt out at any time by replying to any message or emailing hello@change-scout.com; we will suppress your details from future outreach promptly.
Technical and site information
We collect limited technical information needed to run and secure the site[, and analytics information if you consent]. For details on cookies and browser storage, see our Cookies page. We do not sell your data.
Who we share it with (processors and services)
We use trusted third parties to run our business. Depending on your interaction, your data may be processed by:
- Google (Google Workspace and Google Calendar Appointment Scheduling) — email and call booking.
- Squarespace - website hosting.
Some of these providers are based outside the EU/EEA (for example in the US). Where that happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry and booking data: for the duration of our discussions and then up to 12–24 months, unless we begin working together.
- Client records: for the duration of the engagement and then [6 years] to meet tax and legal obligations.
- B2B contact data: only while a contact remains professionally relevant; removed promptly on request.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to object to direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@change-scout.com.
If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Ireland this is the Data Protection Commission ( www.dataprotection.ie).
Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. The current version is dated September 2026.
